Katy Krystyniak, M.A., is a licensed clinical professional counselor and earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Katy offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Motivational Interviewing and offers a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space for clients to talk about personal and difficult issues. When working with adolescents and adults, Katy works from a strength-based approach that focuses on instilling hope, improving resilience and changing views to one that is more positive. Her experience ranges from working with anxiety, depression, building coping skills, self-esteem, relationships and LGBTQ+ issues. In addition to her work at Cognitive Solutions, Katy also works at a Community Mental Health Center, serving those who have severe mental illness & are trying to re-integrate into the community.
