Anna Jacobsen earned her undergraduate degree in Communications with a minor in sociology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Masters of Arts in teaching at National Louis University with the specialized endorsement of LBS 1. Anna has experience in many types of classroom environments including self-contained and resource. She has worked with elementary, middle school and high school aged students in both a traditional school as well as a therapeutic day school. Anna has worked with children with a wide range of learning disabilities and social emotional difficulties. She also has concentrated more with children on the spectrum and was trained in ABA therapy. Anna has many years of experience tutoring children outside of school that needed extra support. Anna attributes the success of her past students to a combination of her organizational skills, structure, routines and most of all her empathy and understanding of the specific need of every student.
